1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Northwake ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Zappsum iOS application ("App"). By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Health or financial data
• Browsing history or usage data sent to any server

3. No Account Required

Zappsum requires no account, registration, or sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information at any point.

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Zappsum stores the following data on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Progress & mastery — your completed lessons, test results, flashcard review history, and skill mastery flags.
• Match history — Speed Match results and your local rating.
• Usage events — basic in-app events (e.g. session start, match completed) used only to support local features such as streaks and statistics. This data never leaves your device.
• Settings — your preferences for sound, haptics, round length, and match clock.

This data is stored locally and is never transmitted to us or any third party. It may be included in iCloud backups if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device; this is controlled entirely by your iOS settings.

5. In-App Purchases

Zappsum offers optional in-app purchases (e.g. the Practical Math Pack). All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, handle, or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs any data collected during the purchase process: apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Third-Party Services

Zappsum does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no third parties with access to any data generated by your use of the App. The App contains no advertising of any kind.

7. Children's Privacy

Zappsum does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is suitable for all ages. As no data is collected or transmitted, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All App data is stored locally on your device for as long as Zappsum is installed. To remove all App data, you can:

• Use the Reset All Data option in the App's Settings screen, which clears all progress, history, and preferences.
• Uninstall the App from your device, which permanently removes all stored data.

Because we hold no data on our servers, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf.

9. Security

Because all data remains on your device, it is protected by the security features built into iOS — including device passcode, Face ID, and Touch ID. We do not transmit data over networks and therefore do not operate servers that could be compromised.

10. EEA, UK & Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies.

Controller. Northwake is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with this App.

Legal basis. Because Zappsum does not transmit personal data to Northwake, we do not process your personal data on our systems and no GDPR legal basis is triggered for the App itself.

Your rights. You have rights under applicable law — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability. Because we hold no personal data about you on our systems, the most direct way to exercise these rights is to use the Reset All Data option or uninstall the App. For any other requests, contact us at hello@northwake.dev and we will respond within 30 days.

Retention. All data remains on your device for as long as the App is installed.

11. California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have certain rights regarding personal information. Zappsum does not sell or share your personal information with third parties, and we do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. 12. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via an app update and noted in the App's release notes. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
